The optimal storage of paper archives begins with the right
approach to packing. The two choices of painstakingly designed Merak boxes
protect their paper contents against aging. Non-active bulk archives find a
dust and moisture free accommodation in Merak’s plastic pallet box.
Archive storage including inventory
Merak reduces your paper archive to a virtual archive by means of
a faultless inventory of each box – or of each individual document, if
requested. From that point on, you direct what happens with each box using the
archive management program – Merak Inventory.

Archive consultation
You need to access a box. Merak will deliver it to your door, or
to one of our consultation rooms. These are also available to you for internal
or tax audits.
Scanning archives
 Scanning
your paper documents offers even greater flexibility and speed. With scan on
demand, Merak will locate a document you have requested and immediately
digitize it. You receive the scan per e-mail or via our secure website.
Merak Archiving Online is a complete
solution, where Merak scans all of your documents and then either
permanently stores the originals or disposes of them. Through indexing
of fixed fields or of the entire text, you can immediately call

100% anonymous archive storage
The norms that Merak employs in constructing a new archive
facility are based on the British Standard for the storage of historical
archives. All Merak services bear the ISO 9001:2000 certificate.
Industrial espionage doesn’t stand a chance with Merak. Merak
boxes bear no identifying marks, with the exception of the anonymous barcode.
They are spread around the warehouse by the computer according to weight.
What’s more, no single employee has the access data needed to identify the
contents of a box and to track it down. If desired, you can request glued box
seals.

The barcode system runs with a 0% margin of error. Each box is
checked 3 times on its route from pick-up to placement to inventory. And after
that, every movement of every box is recorded.
